The number of patients in clinical trials is declining in our country...

The number of patients enrolled in clinical trials in the Czech Republic is declining - and with it the volume of funds that pharmaceutical companies invest in our country. The step prepared by the Ministry of Health, which should lead to a shortening of the time before the conclusion of the contract between the medical facility and the sponsor of the study, could improve the situation. At the same time, however, we should take other measures leading to greater competitiveness of the Czech Republic. These include centers of excellence with a network of collaborating facilities and accelerating the recruitment of patients for studies. The importance of clinical trials in terms of patients' rapid access to innovative medicines and savings for health insurance was reminded yesterday by the third year of the day of clinical trials.
