End to animal testing for drug discovery?

Scientists in the United States discovered a way how to reduce testing in animals.

They have developed  so called „chemosyntetic livers“. The development of new medicinal products  is still very dependent on the time-consuming and costly process of animal testing. On the other hand there is an effort to reduce it.  The new patented technology of chemosyntetic livers contains catalysts similar to cytochrome P450 and can help the researchers to see metabolic profiles of new drugs.
